Best of Smocks: Process Art

Process art week was a whirlwind of crazy awesome projects over on our Instagram art challenge! I can't wait to show you our faves, but before we get into the loads of amazing inspo, I wanna say a massive thanks to our guest host, Alie from @creationspaceyeg for picking such a great theme. Process art is the ultimate fun kid theme -- no rules, big fun, it's ALL GOOD!

Okay, let's get down to it shall we? Shining stars, comin' atcha! If you see an idea you like or want more info on, just click on the picture and you will be taken directly to the original post and all the deets from the inspiring art human who thought it up him/herself.

I can't. It's just too good! Give a kid an embroidery hoop and some random craft supplies and you just might end up with some absolutely incredible artwork...or a big ol' mess and a whole lot of brown smearage, but it will be fun either way. You are gonna wanna click this one and head over to Alie's feed to see all of the other art studio kiddos' masterpieces.

Lots of layers and tons of fun...gallery-worthy gorgeousness from @themamajuggleisreal!

Process art doesn't have to be messy. How cool is this sculpture rocket Julie's class put together?!

Threading beads also totally counts -- Shelly and her creative kiddo crew whipped up some super fun and festive snowflakes.

Have you ever tried doing a paint pour with your kiddos? Me neither, but Sasha's got me dying to try it with Kinley! You have to head over to @curiousitysprouts to see the whole video.

Rebecca and her kiddos didn't let their dwindling craft supply stop them from getting their process on -- can you believe this masterpiece was created with vegetable oil and food coloring?! YOWZA.

Karey and her little man tried rolling painty balls around in a giant bin?! What kid wouldn't like that?!

Alyssa and Hunter broke out some random supplies and got their collage/mixed media process on and I don't know about you, but my eyes couldn't be any heart-ier!

Pinecone painting from Heather and her little arsty ladybugs!

I wanted to try this the exact second I laid eyes on it -- squirty drip painting! Sui and her Jet turned a fail into a big giant gorgeous WIN!!

A big beautiful autumn collage, perfect Thanksgiving process!

Julie did it again -- check out these completely and totally stunning process prints!!
